SO WHAT IS THE DONUT DASH?

The Donut Dash is Heartline’s annual 5k walk/run fundraiser event that has grown to become one of the largest 5k races in Kosciusko county. In 2024, we had a record 334 registrants, and we are on a mission to sprinkle the donut fun even wider in 2025.

Along with raising funds to support Heartline’s mission to encourage, equip, and empower women and families in our community, this event is an opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together, eat some donuts, and get a little exercise!

A bonus? Lots of opportunities for prizes through fundraising, donut eating, and pre-registering for the race!

HOW DOES THE FUNDRAISER WORK?

There are a  couple of different ways to help with the fundraiser.

  1. Racers can establish a fundraising account when registering for the race at RunSignUp. Donors can then donate to your fundraising account online by searching for your name.
  2. When you contribute to the fundraiser at the time of your registration, you will receive a discount on your registration total at checkout – the more you give, the more you save! Find out more on the fundraising page here.

All proceeds will go to support Heartline’s ministry, and all donations are tax deductible.

WHEN & WHERE IS IT HAPPENING?

The fun starts Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 am – check-in and registration begins at 8:30 and ends at 9:45.

The fundraising walk/run will begin and end at the Kosciusko Health Pavilion, 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw, IN, traveling through the Lake City Greenway. Each participant who registers by September 30th will be guaranteed an event t-shirt in their size.

Registration is available online until Tuesday night, October 7th at 11:59 pm. You can also register the day of the event (you just may not get a shirt in your size).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Early Bird registration – available through September 1, 2025 – is $30 per person.

Regular registration – available between September 2 and September 30, 2024 – is $35 per person.

Late registration – on or after October 1, 2024 – is $40 per person.

The registration cost covers the shirt, the finisher’s medal, the chip-timed service, and the DONUTS!

DO I GET A SHIRT? A MEDAL?

Regarding shirts: YES! Every participant will leave with a shirt. Those registering by 9/30 are guaranteed this year’s shirt in their size; those registering after that deadline may receive a previous year’s shirt.

Regarding medals: NEW THIS YEAR – every participant will go home with an official Donut Dash finisher’s medal! The 1st place finishers for both males and females in each age division – along with the TOP 3 Male & Female Donut Dash Finishers – will also receive awards. Just be sure to stick around for the awards after the race so you can take yours home with you!

 

SO WHAT'S WITH THE DONUTS?

It’s a DONUT DASH, so of course there will be donuts – LOTS of them. To be a DONUT finisher, racers must eat 3 donuts (or donut holes for kiddos) along the race – one at each mile marker.

Those who succeed will be entered into the special DONUT DASHER prize drawing – think goodies, gift cards, and more!

And yes, a small selection of GLUTEN FREE donuts will be available for those with gluten allergies.

 

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED? WHAT ABOUT DOGS?

YES and YES – strollers (and families with littles) are welcome! Dogs are also welcome to join, as long as they are leashed and picked up after.

Please take care to only bring dogs you know are friendly and comfortable in crowds of people.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

The Donut Dash is a RAIN OR SHINE event – so unless the county has issued severe weather warnings, we’ll be ready to run!

We’ve had successful races in the rain before, sometimes it makes it even more fun – just bring your poncho or umbrella!

CAN I REGISTER AT THE EVENT?

YES, you are welcome to sign up the morning of the event. To do so, please arrive by 9:00 to allow time for registration & data input.

Also, please remember that if you register the day of the event, you may receive a t-shirt from a previous year.

ONLY PARTICIPANTS WHO PRE-REGISTERED WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE GENERAL DOOR PRIZE DRAWING.
