Yes! All of Heartline’s services, including our ultrasound scans, are free of charge to clients – no insurance checks, no copays, no surprise bills.

We schedule ultrasound appointments for a 45-minute time block. While our nurse performs the scan, one of our Client Advocates will be present during the scan for support (if you came to Heartline for your pregnancy test appointment, we try to ensure it is the same Advocate you met with before).

Your scan can be abdominal (probe on the belly) or transvaginal (internal probe); which one depends on how far along you are and how full your bladder is. You can find more information on exactly what to expect from your ultrasound appointment – and how to prepare – here.

A Pregnancy Verification, or a “Verification of Pregnancy,” is an official document that a medical professional has confirmed your pregnancy. Heartline requires an official Verification of Pregnancy – whether from us or another healthcare entity – prior to scheduling an ultrasound appointment.

The most important thing? Come with a full bladder! For an abdominal scan, it is much easier to get clear measurements and images when your bladder is full. If this is your first appointment at Heartline, you will also want to bring along a photo ID (if you don’t have one, we’ll take a photo when you arrive for our records). YES. Due to space constraints, we allow ONE additional person in the room with you during your ultrasound scan. This can be a parent, a partner, a friend – basically anyone you’d like to share this moment with.

Heartline is located in Warsaw, Indiana. We are in the Health Services Pavilion (1515 Provident Dr.), a building with many other social and health services, including WIC, the Health Department, and the Pavilion Help Center. We are across the street from MedStat, and right next door to Warsaw Women’s Center. While you can use either building entrance to get to Heartline, the West Entrance – the one further into the parking lot – is closest to Heartline’s suite (180).

Although Heartline welcomes walk-ins and will gladly accommodate them when the schedule allows, the best way to guarantee timely service is to make an appointment.
